Baker Mayfield

Precision. Arm Strength. Escapability. Competitiveness. Leadership.

Baker Mayfield has it all.

After finishing fourth in Heisman balloting a year ago, Mayfield has been even better in 2016.

He leads the nation in passing efficiency, completion percentage and yards per attempt to spearhead one of the nation's most explosive offenses.

Beyond the numbers, Mayfield is the quintessential leader both on and off the field.

"Baker Mayfield, as it stands right now, should win the Heisman Trophy."

- Tom Luginbill, ESPN (Nov. 22)

"As a pure thrower, there's not many better out there, period... in any league, anywhere."

- Lincoln Riley, OU Offensive Coordinator

"By far, he's always the best player on the field at all times."

- Dede Westbrook, Oklahoma Wide Receiver

Dede Westbrook

No player in college football has been more electrifying in 2016 -- maybe the last decade -- than Dede Westbrook.

Westbrook leads all Power Five players in receiving TDs per game (1.33) while ranking second in receiving yards (1,354) and third in receiving yards per game (123.1). His 12 touchdowns of 40+ yards are the most by any player since 1996.

And he's done it despite being limited in OU's first three games of the season due to a hamstring injury.

Westbrook was recently ranked No. 1 in ESPN's Top 50 players in college football and won the Biletnikoff Award as the top receiver in college football.

"He's the best receiver in America."

- Trevor Matich, ESPN

"I don't see any weakness. Every quality that you look for, he's got."

- Dana Holgorsen, West Virginia Head Coach

"He makes a lot of great plays, and so consistent. He’s a game changer. He has a chance to score every time he touches it."

- Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma Quarterback

    Ultimate Leader

    Know what's crazy?

Four years ago, he stepped away from the game. Now, he's the top rated player in all of college football.

    That's crazy.

As a matter of fact, crazy is Westbrook's word of choice.

When he talks, they listen. But he doesn't just talk, he sets an example.

"He's our leader, and that's who we look up to," said Dede Westbrook.

    Why Not

128 FBS teams. 85 scholarship players per team. That equates to more than 10,000 scholarship players.

Of all of them, Dede Westbrook came in No. 1 in ESPN's latest rankings of the top 50 players in college football.

Which begs the question, #WhyNotWestbrook for Heisman?
